Astro Portrait

Put Yourself in the Stars

Most people have never seen a night sky like this, and a phone can't come close to capturing it. As part of your Starlingua Private Stargazing Tour, I'll take a custom Astro Portrait of you under the Big Bend dark skies.

Using professional long-exposure photography, I capture you against the sweeping silhouette of the Corazon peaks, with thousands of stars overhead.

Depending on the season, the Milky Way may be standing straight up above the horizon behind you.

How the Process Works

  • The Setup: Once the sky is fully dark, I'll find the composition for that particular night. The angle that frames you against the Corazon peaks with the best part of the sky above.

  • The Shot: I'm capturing the faint light of the night sky with no external lighting, so the camera needs a long exposure. You'll strike a pose and hold perfectly still for about 15 seconds while the shutter drinks in the starlight.

  • The Result: The next day, after editing the raw images, your high-resolution portrait is delivered digitally, ready to print, frame, or share.
